Malaysia ranks 7th in Asia-Pacific for travel and remote work

Malaysia landed in 7th place in the Asia-Pacific rankings and in the top 25 in the world.

KAYAK’s first Work from anywhere Index is the ultimate source for those looking to set up a new office away from home temporarily or for a longer period of time. To develop the index, KAYAK closely analyzed 111 countries and ranked them based on 22 factors in six categories: travel costs and accessibility; local prices; Health and security; remote working capabilities; social life; and the weather. Ultimately, the index reveals which countries are easiest to work from while having fun during off-peak hours.

According to KAYAK, the top 10 countries in the world and Asia-Pacific for combining productive working conditions with opportunities for travel adventures are:

Portugal has been ranked the best country in the world for remote working, scoring high in all categories, including good weather, plenty of places to hang out, low crime rate and cost of living. relatively low. Malaysia took an impressive 7th place in the Asia-Pacific region and 22nd in the world, beating countries like Singapore, the Philippines and New Zealand.
