SHARJAH, 28th April, 2022 (WAM) — The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), under the Sharjah Trade and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA), has announced its fifteenth participation consecutive to the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) which will take place at the Dubai World Trade Center from 9 to 12 May. The authority will also be present at its online event, ATM Virtual, from May 17-18.
Continuing its mission to continue driving the business and investment potential of the UAE and the region in the authentic and eco-inspired travel sector, Shurooq will unveil new hospitality projects at the 29th edition of ATM , while showcasing its diverse and world-class portfolio of eco-destinations that uphold the spirit of conservation and preservation of local culture and heritage and, in doing so, redefine the leisure and travel landscape of Sharjah and the region.
Shurooq will also shine the spotlight on its latest projects, which will make their ATM debut. These include the Lux* Al Jabal Resort – a luxurious resort in Khorfakkan overlooking the crystal clear waters of Soueifa Beach; the Lux* Al Bridi Resort in Al Dhaid, adjacent to the Sharjah Safari, the world’s largest wildlife safari outside Africa, where Shurooq and EPAA will collaborate to organize unique interactions with nature; and Nomad which explores the nature of the emirate through a beach caravan experience in Al Hamriya.
Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, Acting CEO of Shurooq, underscored the importance of showcasing Shurooq’s existing and future projects at the leading global event for the inbound and outbound travel industry in the Middle East, noting that the tourism sector and travel is one of the main drivers of the global economy, and it contributes significantly to the UAE’s GDP.
“Shurooq is building new destinations for travelers and planning several other quality projects, which will be announced in the near future. ATM is an important platform for us, and we look forward to reconnecting and sharing our latest developments, discuss new investment opportunities with industry partners as we shine a light on the ever-expanding travel and hospitality sector in Sharjah, particularly in the segments of heritage, nature, eco-inspiration and sustainable travel,” he added.
