Dubai tops list of ‘most attractive cities’ for remote work

We are really not surprised …

We live in an increasingly virtual world, and it has never been easier to work from anywhere, as long as you have your laptop and a great internet connection. Dubai has just topped the list of “most attractive cities for digital nomads”.

the study was carried out by the Nestpick housing platform, and he shaped the results based on a number of factors, including legislation, costs, and overall livability. Dubai came second on the list, after Melbourne, Australia, out of 75 cities worldwide.

It comes after Dubai introduced a one-year remote work visa, in October 2020, for tourists wishing to do their regular work remotely, albeit in a warmer and sunnier climate.

The 12-month work visa promises visa holders will have access to all required services, including telecommunications, utilities, and education options. The new visa costs 287 USD (1,054 Dhs) plus medical insurance with valid UAE coverage and processing fees per person.

In addition to Dubai’s obvious tourist attractions, from fabulous hotels to beaches, restaurants (as well as safety, health care, and cultural and leisure activities that were factored into the study), the ‘Digital Nomad ”from Dubai has secured its prominent place on the list.

Dubai is one of the ten cities in the study (out of 75 cities) to have introduced this Digital Nomad visa. Other cities include Zagreb, Prague, Lisbon, Reykjavik, Tallinn, Athens, Sydney, Melbourne, Dubai, and Mexico City.

Melbourne topped the list, followed closely by Dubai, Sydney, Tallinn, London, Tokyo, Singapore, Glasgow, Montreal and Berlin, in that order.
